Terms and Conditions for Refundable Container Collection
1. Definitions
- “Company” refers to GOLDEN RECYCLING Pty Ltd. , the operator of the recycling and container collection service.
- “Customer” refers to any individual, organization, or entity using the Company’s collection services.
- “Refundable Containers” refers to eligible beverage containers covered under the applicable container refund scheme in South Australia.
- “Scheme Coordinator” refers to the official body overseeing the container deposit scheme.
2. Eligible Containers
Only containers that meet the eligibility criteria under the applicable government-approved container refund scheme will be accepted for collection. These typically include:
- Aluminium cans
- Glass bottles
- PET plastic bottles
- HDPE containers
- Other containers marked as refundable (10c Refund at Depots in participating State/ Territory of Purchase)
Containers must:
- Be empty
- Have the original label intact
- Lids should be removed.
- Not contaminated
3. Collection Services
- The Company offers scheduled or on-demand collection services for eligible containers.
- Minimum quantities for free collection may apply (e.g., 200 containers per pick-up).
- Containers must be sorted as per instructions provided by the Company.
- The Company reserves the right to refuse collection if containers are not eligible or contaminated with other waste.
4. Refunds and Payments
- Refund amounts are determined by the current container deposit scheme rates $0.10 per container.

- Payments will be made to the Customer via the selected payment method (bank transfer.) within 7 business days after collection and verification.
- The final count and refund value are determined after inspection at a Registered Collection Depot.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Customers must ensure containers are clean and sorted before pickup.
- Customers agree to provide accurate information and cooperate with staff during collection.
- Customers must ensure containers submitted are not stolen or obtained through fraudulent means.
6. Company Rights
The Company reserves the right to:
- Amend or discontinue services with reasonable notice
- Withhold payment if fraud or tampering is suspected.
- Report any illegal or suspicious activity to authorities or the Scheme Coordinator.
- 240 litre Purple Wheelie Bin remains the property of Golden Recycling Pty Ltd. at all times.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Company is not liable for:
- Containers lost, damaged, or rejected due to customer error.
- Delays in refund payments due to incorrect information provided by the customer.
- Service interruptions caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, regulatory changes).
8. Privacy and Data Use
- Customer information will be collected and used in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- Personal data will not be shared with third parties except for payment processing or regulatory compliance.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia and any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of relevant local courts.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By using our container collection services, the Customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
